Boy Gospel Bio
Born September 13th 1979, on the night of hurricane Frederic, he was born into a storm and his parents named after it. He grew up with one brother and four sisters, in the city of Grand Bay, AL. On a youth retreat with a local church, called Friendship Baptist Church, he gave his life to Jesus Christ at the age of 17.
He was a basketball star in high school. Having a full paid scholarship to play basketball at Bishop State CC, and recruited by several Division 1 colleges, he threw it all away for the street life. By the age of 19, he became addicted to drugs, unwedded sex and fast living. It was at this stage that he began to write worldly music for therapy.
He eventually met his future wife, April Malone, who inspired Him to get back on track with his relationship with God. During this season, his mother continued to ask him to write music for God instead of for Satan and himself. Deciding to write one song to please his mother, he eventually wrote his first track called “every day” off a Lil Wayne beat, which he later switched to his own original track.
Since that day he has never written another song for Satan or the world and has released five albums and multiple collaborations and has traveled across the country sharing the gospel. Truly his story is a story of grace and redemption.
From then until now his only mission is to live for the glory of God until Jesus calls him home.
